What are credits and will I get charged every month?Your account has a wallet and in needs to be topped up with some amount of euros. One euro equals one credit. You can use these credits to execute translation tasks. You can always add more money to your wallet at any time. Each top up is a one-time charge. There is no subscription and billing is non-recurring.
Where is my data stored and for how long?Robo Translator stores uploaded files on the AWS cloud for a period of 30 days. After that, all the files you uploaded will be deleted. All data is also encrypted at rest.
How is the content translated?Robo Translator uses the OpenAI API for machine translation. More specifically, it uses the latest GPT-3.5 model.
How is the audio content transcribed or generated?Robo Translator is integrated with the Azure Cognitive Services for state-of-the-art text-to-speech and speech-to-text capabilities.
Do you offer a refund?Yes, within 24 hours of purchase, and if the credits have not been used.
Yes, Robo Translator will be able to load your unlisted YouTube clips when provided with a link.
What is a token?Robo Translator uses ChatGPT for machine translation. A token is part of a word and is used for calculating the cost of the translation. 10 words are equal to about 7.5 tokens. For example, the cost of translating 10 tokens would be 10x(price per token for input text) + 10x(price per token for output text). See ChatGPT docs for details. The price per token is for translation only. If you want to also synthesize speech, the price of the translation is added to the price of speech synthesis and multiplied by the number of selected target locales.
Can I close my account?Yes, you can cancel and completely delete your account at any time.
Is support included in the cost?Yes, basic email support and online chat is included.
What is the billing cycle?There is none. You decide how much money you want to spend on translations.
Do you issue VAT invoices?Yes, we do. You can enter a VAT number on checkout or in the billing portal (Account > My Subscription).
